References add serious credibility to your product manager portfolio by showcasing what others say about working with you. Think of them as built-in testimonials & social proof that you’re as great to work with as your case studies suggest. 🤝

Adding a reference

For each reference (up to 6), provide:
  • Name: The person’s full name
  • Title: Their professional title
  • Relationship: How you worked together (Manager, Colleague, Client, Mentor, Direct Report, Other)
  • Quote: What they said about you (up to 1,500 characters)

Featuring a reference

Click the star icon to feature a reference. Featured references are highlighted more prominently on your public portfolio.

Tips

  • Always ask for permission before adding someone as a reference
  • Quotes that mention specific product outcomes or PM skills are most impactful
  • A mix of relationship types (manager + colleague + client) shows breadth
  • You can drag to reorder references
