# Creating Your Account

Ready to build your product manager portfolio? Creating your Prodfolio account takes less than a minute - let's get you set up. ✨

## Sign up with email

1. Go to [app.prodfolio.io/sign-up](https://app.prodfolio.io/sign-up)
2. Enter your first name, email address, and a password
3. Optional: check the box that says "Send me PM career tips and Prodfolio updates" to receive updates about promotions and new features
4. Click **Sign Up**
5. Check your inbox for a verification email and click the link to confirm

<Note>You must verify your email before you can access the portfolio builder dashboard.</Note>

## Sign up with Google

Prefer the fast lane? You can sign up with your Google account:

1. Click **Continue with Google** on the sign-up page
2. Select your Google account
3. Complete your profile (name and professional title) on the next screen

That's it — you're in. 🎉

## Password requirements

If you're signing up with email, your password must include:

* At least 8 characters
* One uppercase letter
* One lowercase letter
* One number
* One special character
