# Portfolio Basics

The Basics section is the foundation of your product manager portfolio because it's the first thing recruiters and hiring managers see when they visit. Think of it as your digital first impression. Make it count! 💪

## What to fill in

| Field              | Required | Notes                                             |
| ------------------ | -------- | ------------------------------------------------- |
| First name         | Yes      | Displays prominently at the top of your portfolio |
| Last name          | Yes      |                                                   |
| Professional title | Yes      |                                                   |
| Location           | No       | City, state, or "Remote"                          |
| LinkedIn URL       | No       | Links to your LinkedIn profile                    |
| GitHub URL         | No       | Links to your GitHub profile                      |
| Contact email      | No       | Allows visitors to reach you directly             |

## Availability status

Let recruiters and hiring managers know if you're open to new product management opportunities:

* **Available** — Actively looking for a PM role
* **Open to Opportunities** — Not actively searching but open to the right role
* **Not Looking** — Not available right now

When set to Available or Open, you can specify what you're open to:

* Full-time, Part-time, Contract, Consulting, Advisory
* Remote, Hybrid, On-site

This is a huge time-saver for recruiters scanning PM portfolios because they can see your availability at a glance. 🎯

## Headshot

Upload a profile photo to display on your portfolio. Supported formats are JPEG, PNG, and WebP (max 5 MB). You can remove or replace your photo anytime.

Headshot upload is available on all plans.
