# Traffic Sources

Wondering how people are finding your product manager portfolio? Prodfolio categorizes your visitors by how they found you. 🔍

<Note>Detailed traffic source data is a Pro feature. Free users see total view count only.</Note>

## Source categories

* **Direct**: Typed your URL directly or used a bookmark
* **Organic**: Found your PM portfolio through a search engine
* **Referral**: Clicked a link from another website
* **Social Media**: Came from LinkedIn, Twitter, or other social platforms
* **Other**: Sources that don't fit the above categories

## How it works

Prodfolio analyzes the referrer data from each visit and categorizes it automatically. Bot traffic is filtered out so you only see real human visitors.

## Tips

* If most traffic is "Direct," your link-sharing strategy is working
* "Social Media" traffic spikes often correlate with posts you've shared, especially LinkedIn
* Use traffic source data to double down on what's driving visitors to your portfolio
