# Access Grant Durations

When approving an access request for your portfolio, you choose how long the visitor can view the case study. Flexibility is key here. 🔑

## Duration options

| Duration       | Best for                                       |
| -------------- | ---------------------------------------------- |
| **1 hour**     | Quick review during a call or interview        |
| **24 hours**   | Giving someone a day to review at their pace   |
| **7 days**     | Extended review period for hiring teams        |
| **Indefinite** | Trusted contacts who should always have access |

## How it works

* Access starts when you approve the request
* The countdown begins immediately
* When the duration expires, the visitor loses access automatically
* You can [revoke access](/access/revoking-access) before the duration expires
